Stairway to Oblivion is a cave-themed level in Kid Chameleon. It has a different palette than most other cave-themed levels. It is a hard level, but offers a big shortcut to Coral Blade Grotto, skipping the Deadly Skyscrapers and both acts of Skydragon Castle.
Above the start is a set of hidden prize blocks. The leftmost one contains a Berzerker helmet, although there's another one on the right side and a third one further down. Down there you will encounter a patch of ghost block floors. If you drop too far down, you will land in sharp spikes and/or will be squished when the ghost blocks reappear. You must exit the room to the right, but if you lose Berzerker before you made it through the steel blockwall, you're dead. Get the Micromax helmet from the set of prize blocks at the bottom of the next chamber. You have to climb up here, but the rubber blocks don't make it necessarily easier. The teleporter down there is the first to warp you back to the beginning of the level.
The next narrow chamber holds nothing worthwhile except for another bad teleporter at the bottom. Start the shooter block and ice block chain reaction from below and enter the next chamber with the platforms moving from left to right. There are a lot of Emo Rocks in there. If you lose the helmet, you can refresh it at the bottom right of the chamber. The next chamber holds three teleporters, plus an ankh in one of the prize blocks in the center of the room. The bottom teleporter is bad again and warps you back to the start of the level. The center teleporter warps you to Elsewhere 9, a dead end, and so this is a bad teleporter as well. The single good teleporter in this room is the one below the ceiling, which offers a big shortcut to Coral Blade Grotto. However, there's still a big portion of level left on the right side.
To reach the last teleporter in the level to The Deadly Skyscrapers you have to break through the rock blocks. But be careful, since there are platforms on every floor that will kill you on either side of the room if your timing is not perfect.
- At the bottom of the last chamber there were supposed to be two Sphere's but since the enemyheader is assigned to load only 7 enemies they are never present.
